If you appreciate Burial's approach to assembling sounds, you already know what to expect here. The subtle layering of clicks, blips, static, opiate dream vocals and unintrusive bass grooves are present on both tracks. Rough Sleeper carries more energy, while Truant is more gentle. If Truant is a come-down journey through London's empty streets during the early morning hours, Rough Sleeper is a memory of partying through the night before. Both pieces feature Burial's masterful ability to do more with less, transitioning through several distinct segments without ever breaking continuity. These are lengthy tracks meant to be absorbed, not bounced upon, and are highly recommended for the Burial fan, or anyone that enjoys beautiful sonic arrangements.
