If you aren't familiar with Frank Ruvoli I think it’s time you know his story. Before embarking on a music career Ruvoli was determined to have a future in baseball. Due to an injury he wasn’t able to pursue his athletic career but it also gave him some time to discover his love for songwriting. Over the last three years he has released three EP’s with his latest being Dreamers.

Ruvoli has a singer/songwriter vibe with the most obvious comparison being Dave Matthews band to my ears. Suffice it to say fans of Matthews will appreciate Ruvoli.

Ruvoli opens with “Monkey Call” which is indicative of the type of vibe you hear throughout the EP. It's upbeat, catchy and felt tailor made for a backyard BBQ type bash. He keeps the good grooves and vibe coming with “Rubberband Guns” which is a little more reflective with the lyrics. He questions where the world is headed and that it might be moving too fast. The mood however feels light and carefree because of the music .

“You’re My Love” was the song I thought was the highlight. I really enjoyed the vocal performance on this track especially the hook. On that note there was also something hypnotic about the instrumental parts.

The title track was the one song that felt it could be a B-side from the Dave Matthews Band.  “Wells Beach” however had more of an indie rock vibe. “ Follow You” and “Good To Be Alive” were also quite enjoyable.

The production and recording is better than average home recording. Although at some point I would like to hear Ruvoli get the full treatment at a pro studio.

Overall, Ruvoli proved his talent and still seemed to be improving. Recommended.
